A UAE national, born in Abu Dhabi August 1954, graduated in 1979 BS in Business Administration, with emphasis on Finance, from the University of Arizona, Tucson, USA. Attended various Executive Management in Finance and Oil & Gas Financial Management, General Management at various international institutions at INSEAD, OAPEC, IMEDE Paine Webber
Has over twenty five years of experience in banking, finance, investment, hotels and tourism, industries and projects development. He has been actively involved in setting up of new businesses, acquisition of ongoing business, primarily in the Gulf and the Middle East.
After his graduation he joined Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) as Finance Director and was later appointed as General Manager of Ruwais Fertilizer (FERTIL) a subsidiary of ADNOC, during which time he was on board of various local and international oil and gas institutes.
In 1997 he joined the family business as the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Emirates Holdings Group and on board of its owned companies, such as Federal Foods, Emircom, and Pharmatrade. Currently he is the Chairman and Managing Director of Arab Development a family owned business group.
He is also Chairman, Vice Chairman and Member of the Board of several government and private institutions such as: Abu Dhabi Holding, AlDhafra Insurance Company, AlRayan Real Estate, Sorouh Real Estate, Technical Metal Industries, (TMI), Al Maabar, Rotana Hotels & Real Estate Investment Company, and Honorary Member of Al Ain Sports Club.
