  • Mr. Khaldoun Rashid Tabari
    Vice Chairman and CEO
    Mr. Khaldoun Rashid Tabari is an Executive board member and is the Vice Chairman and the CEO of Drake & Scull International (DSI) PJSC.

    Over the last 12 years, Mr. Tabari has led the development of DSI from a local MEP contractor to a regional leader providing fully-integrated services that have come to include civil construction and water and power and water, wastewater and sludge treatment solutions.

    Mr. Tabari also serves as a board member for EMCOR Facilities Services Group (ME), Walltech; Cedar Mills, Jordan Fleet Leasing Company; First Qatar Real Estate and Energy Central in Bahrain.
     

  • Mr. Tawfiq Abu Soud
    Managing Director,Drake & Scull Water & Power
    Mr. Tawfiq Abu Soud is an Executive board member of DSI PJSC.
    With over 25 years experience in the oil, gas and MEP contracting field, Mr. Tawfiq Abu Soud has built, diversified and expanded divisions and departments across several companies. He was previously responsible of the MEP operations with Jordan-based Manco Contracting WLL and is currently Executive Director of Drake & Scull Water and Power (DSWP).

    As DSI's longest serving executive with 13 years behind him – Mr. Abu Soud is responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with existing and potential business partners, and identifying opportunities for expansion along with stimulating demand for the water and power solutions. He has overseen multiple areas including leading the company's regional expansion effort and delivering highly complex projects under challenging circumstances.

    Mr. Abu Soud has a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) Degree from the University of Hull, UK as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc) (specialising in mechanical engineering) from Southern Illinois University, USA.
     

  • Mr. Osama Hamdan
    Chief Financial Officer
    Mr. Osama Hamdan has 15 years' experience working for Fortune 500 companies in the United States and brings over 25 years' of international experience in corporate financial management, operations and marketing to his role of CFO at Drake & Scull International (DSI). As CFO, he has management oversight and responsibility for all financial functions for DSI and its subsidiaries, overseeing all revenues, costs, capital expenditures, investments and debt.

    Prior to joining DSI, Mr. Hamdan was CFO for Gulf Cryo Holding (2009) and Tamdeen Shopping Center Development (2007-2009), both in Kuwait. Previous to his work in the Gulf region, he worked 9 years for Sun Microsystems, Inc. (1997-2006) in Silicon Valley, California as both Financial Controller and Operations Group Manager of Worldwide Marketing, making key decisions and managing large teams in order to lead the company towards USD $18 billion in yearly revenues.

    In his role as Senior Financial Manager for Novellus Systems, Inc. (1995-1997) in Silicon Valley, he developed and implemented a sophisticated budgeting model which reduced turnaround times from 3 to 1 week, in addition to spearheading the company’s strategic acquisition of a leading Japanese company.

    As Senior Competitive/Strategy Analyst Manager for National Semiconductor Corp. in Silicon Valley (1994-1995), he developed an innovative financial model for measuring the correlation between Research & Development and revenue growth.

    Before that, he worked for Hewlett Packard for 2 years (1989-1991) as Senior Financial Analyst, assisting the company to achieve USD $2 billion in targets for various product lines.

    Mr. Hamdan's fields of expertise include the real estate construction & development, high-tech and industrial gas industries. He received an MBA in Finance, Marketing and Quantitative Analysis in 1989 from California Polytechnic University in the USA, and a BS in Finance/Accounting/Management in 1981 from American University of Beirut in Lebanon.
     

  • Mr. Michael Salmon
    Chief Commercial Officer
    Mr. Michael Salmon, Drake & Scull International's Chief Commercial Officer, has used his experience of over forty years in the engineering and construction industry to fully embrace the opportunities presented by DSI's public listing in March 2009.

    His role is part of the corporate team running the company and as such, his experience is invaluable. He says that the floatation and potential growth of the company makes his current role with DSI one of the most exciting opportunities of his long career.

    Mr. Salmon began his career working on construction projects whilst attending college, which allowed him to gain skills in a practical manner and apply them on the job. Michael's work has taken him as far-a-field as Nigeria, where he worked as a Senior Surveyor working on three major infrastructure developments for the Nigerian Army including Power and Water Installations, roads and bridges and the Ibadan Relief Ring Road

    Following his work in Nigeria, Mr. Salmon returned to the UK working for Tilbury Douglas (now Interserve) from 1978 -1981. Later in 1981 Michael then returned overseas to take up a new appointment where he held senior management positions with Gammon Construction Ltd, the largest construction company in Hong Kong working on major infrastructure works including the Mass Transit Railway, HK Stock Exchange, Exchange Square Towers 1&2, Ocean Park Redevelopment, Chep Lap Kok Airport Enabling Works, RHKJC Shatin Stables and Standard Chartered Bank.

    Mr. Salmon stayed in Hong Kong till 1992, running his own private consultancy and contracting to many of the companies he had worked with in the past.

    In 1992, he returned to the UK and continued to run his own private consultancy and began his 15 year relationship with Drake & Scull UK. It was there that Mr. Salmon worked on important projects in London. He worked as a Senior Commercial Manager on the London Underground project which consisted of two major contracts on the Jubilee line in a Joint Venture with Emcor and Drake & Scull UK. The project was based on the upgrade and replacement of London's aging infrastructure to bring it into the 21st century. In addition to the London Underground project, Mr. Salmon worked as a Commercial Manager on the Canary Wharf project and the Lanham Hilton Hotel.

    His experience in Major Infrastructure Projects continued from 1999 to 2008 when he was appointed as Commercial Director for EMCOR Infrastructure and Rail Services and continued to extend his experience in other major projects including the Channel Tunnel Rail Link; London Underground - Tubelines & Metronet; Canary Wharf Development; Fulham Broadway Redevelopment.

    Mr. Salmon's primary objective in his role as Chief Commercial Officer is to introduce, improve and fully implement the required Systems and Controls to take effect as a result of DSI's listing. This covers development and implementation of an Operations Reporting System across all three of DSI's business streams which will complement financial reporting and provide Operations Management with a reliable platform on which to run each of their business units.
     

  • Mr. Saleh Muradweij
    Managing Director,Drake & Scull Construction
    Mr. Saleh Muradweij is an Executive board member of DSI PJSC.

    With over 20 years of professional experience throughout the GCC and the Levant, Mr. Muradweij has worked in a number of managerial positions in consulting, project management, operations and contracting. He now holds the position of Executive Director of Drake & Scull Construction (DSC), the civil construction subsidiary of DSI.

    Mr. Muradweij's responsibilities in his current role include developing and maintaining strong working relationships with existing, and potential business partners and identifying opportunities for expansion, along with stimulating demand for the company’s solutions.

    Mr. Muradweij holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Bradley University, Illinois, USA, as well as a Master’s of Science Degree in the same discipline.
     

  • Mrs. Zeina Tabari
    Chief Corporate Affairs Officer
    Mrs. Zeina Tabari, Drake & Scull International's Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, helped steer the company through its IPO and on to its public listing on the Dubai Financial Market and has since been inspired by the opportunity to implement DSI's corporate strategy.

    Although she now enjoys a position as one of the principal spokespeople for Drake & Scull International PJSC, Ms. Tabari began her career with DSI in the role of Human Resources Manager in 2003 after finishing her BA in Advertising and Marketing from the American University, Dubai. She was later invited to undertake an MBA programme with an emphasis on finance, at the Webster Graduate School, London which proved to be the ideal preparation for her current role.

    Over the course of three years (2003 - 2006) Ms. Tabari enjoyed a progressive career path with DSI that saw her promoted to the position of Corporate Service Director in 2006 overseeing the HR planning process across the nine areas of the company's activities.

    With the company's decision to launch an IPO and having developed an understanding of investor relations issues while in London, Ms. Tabari was the natural choice for the new role of Chief Corporate Affairs Officer and the company's voice to the investment community.

    Her role is seen as pivotal to the future prosperity of the company as it embarks on a new phase in its corporate development. Ms. Tabari is in direct command of all strategic communications relating to with DSI's investment community.

    Ms. Tabari's key responsibility is to manage all communication between DSI, the financial community, and other stakeholders. She also oversees the entire corporate communications programme to ensure a seamless link is maintained in the presentation of all external and internal communications.

    Because of the high profile nature of the role, Ms. Tabari answers directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
     

  • Ms.Talat Naseer
    Corporate HR Director
    Talat Naseer is Corporate Human Resource Director at DSI PJSC. Talat’s primary responsibilities included giving input to business planning, recruitment of top talent, people strategy and people retention. In her role as a HR director, she also provides individual coaching and mentoring to senior colleagues within the organization.
    Talat has over 20 years of Human Resource experience across the MENA region, in various industries from Telecom at Paktel to Oil and Gas at BP, Aviation at British Airways, Financial Institutions at ABN AMRO Bank and in Pharmaceuticals as Director Human Resources for GlaxoSmithKline. In her most recent role Talat headed the Human Resource function for Abraaj Capital Ltd, the leading Private Equity firm in the MENASA region based in Dubai.
